The EUNOIA consortium has met in the Campus of the University of Valladolid in Segovia, near Madrid, to discuss the progress in work-packages WP2 (Methods & tools in urban mobility policy), WP3 (Data collection), WP4 (Data analysis) as well as to prepare the kickoff of WP5 (Modeling).

The EUNOIA team met at the CSIC headquarters in Brussels on February 15 after the EUNOIA Workshop on GSS and Urban Development. The progress achieved in the project execution so far was discussed, as well as the actions to be taken within the newly started WP4 on Data Analysis.

Global Systems Science (GSS) addresses the increasingly global and interconnected nature of human relations including the pervasive presence of ICT. In particular, the aim of the forum is to analyze the major scientific challenges associated to urban development from a GSS perspective. The workshop will provide inputs for outlining a research agenda in the area and will be reflected into an Orientation Paper for GSS research in Horizon 2020.

The kick-off meeting of the EUNOIA has taken place on October 10 and 11 at the IFISC headquarters in Palma de Mallorca. The meeting counted with the participation of 17 researchers of the different partners and the discussion revolved around the structure and organization of the work to be develop during the project.
